Neptune’s Park

Marked by the large bronze statue of the sea god Neptune, you can find the heart of the Boardwalk here. Adjacent to the Hilton Virginia Beach Oceanfront on 31st Street, this outdoor venue features nightly entertainment throughout the summer. The free Summer Concert Series includes a prominent series of talented national recording artists.

The Adventure Park

There’s nothing like a day at The Adventure Park at Virginia Aquarium! The amazing aerial forest park features climbing and zip lining through majestic trees near the Virginia Aquarium & Marine Science Center’s Marsh Pavilion.  Take to the treetops on 15 trails that weave between tree platforms on the 6-acre site. Trails are marked by the degree of challenge they provide, offering adventures for ages 5 through adult. Explore the park on your own or make memories with your family and friends.

Virginia Aquarium and Marine Science Center

Military Bases in Virginia Beach and Norfolk

Virginia Beach and nearby Norfolk are home to several military bases and related attractions, such as Norfolk Naval Base, the largest naval base in the world, and Battleship Wisconsin. The Virginia Military Aviation Museum, in Virginia Beach’s Pungo District, is a portal back to this all-important era. The vintage 1930s Art Deco airplane hangars and sprawling airfield are something that must be experienced for locals and visitors alike. With 70 planes from the first 50 years of military aviation, most of which have amazingly been restored to their original flying condition, the museum holds one of the largest private collections of WWI and WWII era military aircraft in the world. 

Virginia Beach Sportsplex

The Virginia Beach Sportsplex is primarily home to the defending champions of the United Football League, the Virginia Destroyers. It has a permanent seating capacity of 6,000, on two decks of seating, though it can be expanded upwards to 17,000 for football games.
